Growing up with a massage therapist for a mother and receiving care from a holistic gynecologist, I became fascinated with reproductive health at a young age, specifically birth. I decided to become a birth doula after spending many hours with my mom discussing the birth of my older sister and myself! Watching my mother light up as she retold the stories for the hundredth time lit a fire inside of me - suddenly my path was clear! She emphasized how important the informational and emotional support she received from her midwives and her partner was during her pregnancy and her labor. She had two successful home births, and I could listen to her tell those stories a hundred more times!

Originally from Washington D.C., I have happily called Los Angeles home for the past seven years! I received my first birth doula training and introduction to childbirth at BINI Birth in 2016. I went on to attend an abortion, fetal and infant loss training in October 2017. My desire to expand my education led me to another birth and postpartum training with Doula Trainings International (DTI) in November 2018. DTI filled the gaps in my education with their emphasis on inclusivity and business.

My intention as a doula is to empower birthing people and their partners with the knowledge to make the best choices for themselves during pregnancy and labor.  I am your knowledgeable and unbiased advocate and friend during this time in your lives and maybe for the rest of your lives! 

For all the birth partners out there! I am NOT your replacement. My intent is to simply be an objective third party and offer you all the knowledge and resources I possess as an active member of the birth community.  I am here to provide support, and let’s not forget I'm your doula too! This is not ONLY about the person giving birth, it is about the birth of a family.
